    FWD Travel insurance does not cover claims related to COVID-19. If you require cover for COVID-19, please purchase FWD’s COVID-19 Enhanced Travel Benefits add-on.

  3. What types of travel insurance does FWD offer and what is the maximum number of people allowed in a policy?

    FWD Insurance offer travel insurance that covers:  
    1) Individuals – one person 
    2) Couples – two people 
    3) Families – two adults (legal spouse) and their legal dependent child(ren) 
    4) Groups – a group of up to seven people 

    who are travelling to:  
    1) ASEAN – Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam 
    2) Asia – ASEAN Countries, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), East Timor, Fiji, India, Japan, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan 
    3) Worldwide excluding USA – All of the world, excluding USA and any of its territory 
    4) Worldwide – All of the world 

    Please note that any country where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore advises against travelling to or recommends postponing travel to, are excluded. 

  4. How does FWD define “Child” for the purpose of travel insurance?

    A Child refers to anyone who is/are 21 years old or younger, or up to 25 years old if they are still studying full-time in a recognised institute of higher learning at the coverage start date. 

  5. Is a business trip covered under FWD’s travel insurance?

    Yes, however the personal liability section, does not apply to any legal responsibility related to your business. 

  6. What is excluded from FWD’s travel insurance?

    The primary exclusions are claims related to the following: 

    1) Visiting any country where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore advises against travelling to or recommends postponing the travel to; 
    2) Pre-existing medical conditions; 
    3) Participating in a sport activity that does not meet the criteria in the contract, or in any sport under professional capacity; 
    4) Suicide or self-inflicted act; 
    5) Travelling contrary to your doctor’s advice; 
    6) Inflated or fraudulently made claims; 
    7) Participating in any illegal act including war, uprising, riot, strike or civil commotion.
